DPO
The Nippondenso (Denso) with external regulator was on many Chrysler products that began around 1987. Many people think the voltage regulator is built in. It is not. Very early model regulators are on the firewall, the rest are in the computer. The alternator is identifiable by the 2 small studs where the harness bolts on, and a metal cover on the back. Both sizes of the alternator (standard and optional hi amp) take the same kit.
Kit consists of : 2 bearings, terminal block, brush holder ass’y, spare screws.
