5MTSP
Delco’s 5MT was the first variation from the landmark 10MT (hi-torq/lo torq)to be mass produced. A type of 5mt was produced even as early as Corvair, but for the most part the 5MT became standardized in the 80’s. This kit is NOT a 5MT kit because it has a small copper post (stud) as shown in the 1st pic. SP stands for small post which is a M8 instead of M10. The 5MTSP kit is kind of a “throw back” which is found on the GM’s 2.2L and 3.1L from 1996-1998. There are also some internal differences with the bendix and the fork/plunger ass’y from the standard 5MT.
Kit includes : New high quality solenoid, USA made bendix, bushings, snap rings and brushes.
